I was invited to teach Gasshuku in Veliky Novgorod for IOGKF Russian Federation. There were over 300 IOGKF members from 7 different regions in Russia as well as Belarus. As you know, Russia is the largest country in the world and some people drove 3 days to attend the event. The event was well organized. There were TV interviews, and public demonstrations. In Veliky Novgorod, I visited the oldest church in Russia “Cathedral of St. Sophia”. After the gasshuku, Sensei Aleksandr Grib and his wife took me to St. Petersburg for a day tour. St. Petersburg is a beautiful city full of beautiful churches, museums, and unique buildings. This city is also called “Northern Venice” with many waterways crossing the city. At the end of the tour, they took me to the “Banya” Russian traditional Spa, and I had nice massage there. It was soooo nice and relaxing. I would love to go back St. Petersburg with my family, but maybe in the summer next time!

Here are links to the television interviews, but you might have to speak Russian 🙂
