IOGKF Canada organized the first of its kind Online Live Charity Gasshuku on Saturday, May 2nd to raise funds for the United Nations, UN COVID-19 Response & Recovery Fund, to combat the global impact of the coronavirus. Once as the event was published on social media, many IOGKF members across the globe showed compassion and the  spaces were quickly filled. One hundred members (this is the maximum number using the Zoom app) from 12 different countries participated. The gasshuku was a great success. Two of the top instructors of IOGKF, Sensei Tetsuji Nakamura (7th dan IOGKF World Chief Instructor) and Sensei Ernie Molyneux (8th dan IOGKF World Vice-Chief Instructor) taught for 150 minutes in the online Gasshuku. All participants were happy to see each other and train together in a virtual class. We raised over $3,000 for the United Nations.
